Yes, my shipping date has not been set to stone yet.....
I am also planning on picking up the Kalmar windscreen from Ronny in Holland as well as (hopefully) two windscreens for a Daffodil 30 from Matt Stapper, These will all be packed inside Mushy for the trip back. As long as they are declared on the customs papers (according to Veronica) they are fine to ship in the car.
For some reason...Customs hate surprises ! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Fine to ship in the car? Are they happy to insure the extra content inside? Is there enough room inside? What happened to this idea? container by macplaxton, on Flickr Seemed like a perfect idea until everyone shot off in their own different directions?

Well, I was the first to actually settle a car deal, and it was too late to settle a container, as Mushy really came out of nowhere, and there wasn't a third car option, so all in all it comes out to be cheaper to do individual RO-RO. If there was a bit more coordination we might have been able to do a little boy container, but oh well. Vince

I see, but I don't quite get the rush to get the cars shipped out of the country. It may be cheaper individual RO-RO if all the cars were tickets and near port. I would have thought a box was better for the hoarding of "quality used spare" and non-runners.
Hope everyone gets everything they need. Or else you'll have to come back again ;D

John... If there is not a rush in getting Mushy on the boat, would it not be better to make sure she is road legal before attempting to drive her anywhere...and why Portsmouth? Felixstow would be more convenient

Felixstow would be more convenient I am looking at a 30 September departure date Matt...Portsmouth, only because the shipping company will not ship out of Felixstow. I agree that Mushy should be roadworthy before making a move. @ken... That's great news about the original paperwork. ;D ;D John
