Dates are still to be confirmed but this is a 2 day (Sat and Sun) show in mid May. It's a general vintage show with everything from traction engines to classics including tractors, bikes (push and motor) and stationary engines. Camping is generally available on the grounds during the weekend or there's a classics friendly camp site about 3 miles away owned by Betty the Daf's previous owner which includes an on-site pub in a converted pig house. Obviously, car fettling will also be available if required There's been interest shown by some in Norwich for next year and any other Southerners who feel like an adventure into Welshland are more than welcome!

I've told Mrs G that I want to go this year Joe. I'd need to travel up on a Friday and return on a Monday. That would mean childcare issues to sort and I would like the company of at least one other southerner, just in case any mechanical woes happen en route. It is about time I paid a visit to the land of the Druids!

With the exception of yourself and Sian I am probably the closest to this event. Really must get my backside in gear and get to it.

Well, when I mentioned it to Mrs G, she said 'Are you telling me you want to go or asking me to come with you?' Further investigation revealed that she didn't relish the thought of '16 hours in Gavina and sleeping under canvas'. Plus it's during term time and given I'd need to travel up on a Friday and back on a Monday I cannot see that a family outing would work.

No problem, Pete, but you do have 9 months to convince / cajole / drug her into coming ;D As for term time - it's an educational field trip

Well thats easy to sort Pete You drive Rover and a caravan and let her drive Gavina ;D Hitch a trailer up behind Rover and tow Gavina down she might feel happier about that. Or you could be really brave and bully Ken into finishing passionwagon and taking that instead

Great idea Paul, both of them!
Regretfully things have moved on since I was at school and I very much doubt Jonathan would be allowed time off. Also dont forget Mrs G is a teacher now so it would be even more difficult. I think this is a journey I would need to take alone...

Bully Ken? Bully Ken? Yeah right lol+++++. Ha, to even make a start on the PW I'd need a working welder.......... oh feck! Thanks a bunch Joe.
I think the poor PW is about 5 or 6 cars down the line. They are hard taskmasters at EDC you know. It's the Tea and Chicken torture that does it.

Don't let Matt hear you suggesting that he "tortures" tea, Ken! He takes great pride in his ability to lovingly coax the very best from every bag and everyone knows that a frightened teabag makes inferior tea (something to do with stress hormones I think)
