A rare visit in the week to the barn tomorrow..and all being well a visit from Eric Bhojani..
Many of you know Eric and it will be his 1st visit to the new barn..and hopefully the 1st of many..
With the help of Eric..and Dan..the collection in Essex will hopefully see progress in returning them all to the road..where all Dafs belong..
The plan is for Eric to meet us at our flat..and then head to the barn in a convoy of 2 Dafs..Eric is bringing his lovely red 66..
After plenty of tea and a walk around,we might even get some Daffing done..but it will all be progress in the right direction, what ever we achieve..

The visit with Eric went well and a little progress was made..more plans for future visits are being made, even a full w/end visit has been mentioned..
Tomorrow..Monday 3rd..is seeing another visit to the barn..this has a reason,the unthinkable has happened..I have sold a Daf..not only sold 1,a 55 is leaving 😢😢😢..
This is hopefully being collected about 3pm and is heading for a good home..
A sad day but it's best for the car..

Well today we saw Bernice,my now ex-orange 55 saloon leave for her new home..and the good news is she will be returning to the road soon..😊..which is more than I ever achieved with her..we wish her and her new owner good luck..
We also welcomed a new visitor to Essexdafs, the now new owner of a recently discovered 1975 44..this was recently in Maldon but has changed hands again and now lives in the Bishops Stortford/Saffron Waldon area.. It turns out this 44 is a very solid little car, having been barn stored in 1991,bought with the intention of banger racing it 😨..but luckly stored away..with only a little surface rust on the roof area..and what makes this 44 a little more special,it has a factory fitted metal sunroof..😮.. Hopefully very soon after a brake overhaul and the fitting of the complete exhaust system that we supplied, the 44 will make a visit to Essexdafs..
Back out to the barn on Saturday with the intention of working on Yo,my white 55 estate..

More playtime tomorrow and another visitor booked in..also Dan hoping to lend a hand, much appreciated mate.. For the last few Saturday afternoons we have been replacing most of the brake system on Nell,1 of my 55 estates..and still we need to do more..but hoping to get to the bottom of it tomorrow.. I have also replaced both of her bumpers and further small jobs are planned to help improve her.
It's been a bit slow on parts orders but it hasn't stopped plans to bring in fresh stock of cars..over the next few months, the plan is to bring in 4 Dafs including 1 that has sat in a garage for over 40 years..

At the barn on Saturday's as a rule..but other days can be arranged..
Last Saturday saw a visit from Graham of Daf Classics for some parts needed for a couple of projects of his..BUT..not all went to plan for Graham..
2 miles from the barn,Graham had a blow out on a tyre of a van he had hired..😕..and no jack to replace the spare..😁
So a call to me resulted in ESSEXDAFS saving DAF CLASSICS 😊..sorry Graham..but we did tell say you wouldn't live this 1 down 😂😂😂..
Pics can be found on the new Essexdafs Facebook page..😊
