Ive just had a phone call from the " Big Boss " at Renegade pictures with devastating news ..................... They are NOT DOING THE DAF SHOW due to budget cutbacks/costs . He says that the Daf has the " least broad appeal " and they have to make a cutback ....... They will be returning her next week , as found ...... AFTER Mrs Bellamy getting so enthralled that , at last she would see her Baby on the road .... , my youngest daughter , having spilt her heart out about the devastating condition my eldest daughter has suffered with for 30 years , my son-in-law giving up 2 days work ( self-employed sea fisherman with HUGE overhead`s and 6 kids to support , me paying £90 for a dad-sitter...all for nothing . I cant tell you how upset I am , or how sorry I am , that Essex Daf`s and my fellow Daf`fers are going to be let down I really cant say how sorry I am everybody ..........

I'm pretty gutted to be honest, especially for you. I thought it was about what they actually did, not what they did it to - so this means we probably get more MGBs. Great, because much as I like them, we get about 5,000 restored ones at each show!
You don't need to apologise - it's not your fault, and you've had to deal with plenty without having to say sorry to us. It's disappointing that DAFs will get less of a chance for exposure, but it won't spoil our weekend - have no fear of that!
Wait until I win the lottery and I can play the good samaritan and make peoples wishes come true......

Kev... We are sorry to hear this but please don`t think you have let us down...you have not...you have been let down which is not fair on you, what with all you have had to put up with How they class a very rare car with the least appeal is beyond me,we can only put that down to the lack of understanding that Dafs get I hope this has not put you off from visiting us for the w/ender but we will understand if it has... Hope to see you soon m8 Regards Matt

I don't believe it!!!
How utterly ridiculous. The least appeal?? Thanks a bunch Renegade Pictures. No doubt there will be an MG, Mini and a Ford in there somewhere. No doubt a Triumph Stag possibly? All lovely mainstream cars that no-one has seen for oh, at least an hour or two.
Kev mate, I am so very, very sorry. We will still have a fab weekend irrespective of what has just happened and I for one, would be gutted if you were not there.
The weekender will be fab and we will bloody make it even more fab.... just because we can.
Chin up mate!!!!
Ken

Gutted for you Kev. Strangely I've had an e-mail today from Steve Bidwell telling me all about it ( : and asking if we have a vario spare for a 33. No need to apologise to us, totes not your fault - just feel bad for all concerned.

They've obviously never been near a car show where people walk past all the MGs, Moggies etc just to see the Dafs, have they?
Ah well, another reason to not get the Discovery Channel!

The only reason it has least appeal would be because you don't see that many at shows, um wait a minute considering the number of them left you see them at the shows a lot.
Gutted for you mate I think I would be writing a letter to them explaining how much grief this has put you through
