Hi all,
My 46 has a shot rear exhaust and I've seen a 66 exhaust for sale, would that fit, or could it be manipulated to fit? Thanks in advance for answers.
Cheers, John

The problem would be at the front of the car. Daf 66 cars have an in line 4 cylinder engine, with the exhaust manifold on one side, leading into two downpipes and then to the exhaust pipe towards the rear of the car, whereas Daf 44 and 46 cars have a horizontally opposed TWO cylinder engine, with separate exhaust manifolds, complete with heat exchangers, leading to a transverse silencer, then to an exhaust pipe to the rear of the car.
Without prejudice to any other comments and respecting those with greater knowledge I would say it's possible to use the rear parts of a Daf 66 exhaust, up as far as the transverse silencer on the 44/46, but the parts connecting to the exhaust ports would NOT fit, owing to the design of the respective engines.

That's great advice, thank you. I've managed to obtain a rear exhaust section for a 66 ( and this is the non-existant part of the exhaust), so fingers crossed this works! I'll keep you posted on progress.
