Now that Matt's 46 estate, Dorothy is on the road it is time for Goldie to move onto pastures new. She has been to many events and features several times in the Essex DAFs thread. She has 27,000 genuine miles under her belt and has 7 months MOT and 5 months tax. Whilst quite sound her body could do with a little tidying. Her fuel gauge is a little intermittent and is currently in the non-functioning part of the cycle. She comes with the 13 inch rims that are on her but not the DAF hubcaps, otherwise Matt can throw in some 14 inch wheels if you prefer. That's it other to say she drives quite nicely - just ask John or Howard! Matt is asking £500 firm, which he considers to be a very fair price. Send Matt a PM if you're interested.

I tried Ken but trying to open all my pictures on Photobucket all but crashed the trusty laptop. She's on the ED thread near the beginning iirc, and odd pics throughout. Otherwise I'll take some more photos next time I'm over there.

Yes, she is rather sweet Howard.
OK, Matt has asked me to correct the add due to my usual incompetence when it comes to the finer detail.
Goldie was in fact first registered in 1975, not 1976 as originally stated. I also made a boo-boo with the tax as she comes with SIX months tax, not five as originally stated. Hopefully a prospective buyer will welcome that extra month!
So, who's in the market for a sweet little 46?

C'mon folks, this car has to have a new home. Matt has many 55's to hunt for.

Well, I had the pleasure of driving Goldie home from Colchester last night and a most enjoyable drive she was too. She didn't miss a beat on the 50 minute trip home through town and dual carriageway. I did also have the opportunity to take some more recent photos to show the good and the bad. Her body is solid enough. And now the grotty parts. Like Matt says, she would benefit from some paintwork. Personally I think in DAF terms she is pretty good, but Matt is an honest sort and insists that I show these photos. Mysterious square patch that was in red oxide primer but is now a little closer match... Rear nearside arch could do with some new paint blowing in. Same rear quarter has some surface rust on the swage line and a scratch. Small bit of grot on the corner of the bootlid... ...in the offisde door handle area... ...and one small piece on the offside front wing... ...along with a very small piece at the top front corner of the offside sill. The front of the offside sill received some welding not so long ago and requires some blowing in. The interior really is in excellent condition with the cloth seats having no rips or tears and no sun fading. Confirmation of the mileage: I forgot to take a photograph of the engine bay but yes, she does indeed have an engine! Having only really driven 'A' bodies I was quite taken with how quiet she runs, both at speed and at idle. Matt tells me there are some jobs that he'd like to get done before she is sold but personally, I think she is just right. Still for sale to whoever is first to come up with the folding.
