A little work on the front grill panel so it was fitted on to dry and conform back to it's shape. I can't wait to get a chance to drive it. ;D John

A weekend update from DAF Central-USA !! I had my hands full this weekend hanging new signage: A "copy" I had made, because I could not find an original. No one will be getting lost around the Museum grounds now. A well placed Street Sign between the Museum & Restoration Shop. I also managed some more Fiberglass repairs to "Postal Pete" over the past three days: Re-enforcing strips glued behind the front Grille Plate supports and inner wing cracks were repaired as well. Right Wing is all repaired now and will be pop-riveted back on after the Engine compartment is restored. John

Excellent John, Pete is looking better every time you post an update. I like the signs too and they will come in handy - there's nothing worse than becoming lost in your own back yard! ;D

Cheers Guys. ;D The place is really beginning to look more "DAF-ish" Tomorrow, now that "Jonah" is all repaired, I'll be taking my last trip to Hackensack, New Jersey for some more rare DAF bits, literature and to finally collect the elusive 1967 DAF 44 type 1 saloon. update to folllow.... John ;D

Well, it took a few attempts but..... "NELLIE", the Type 1 DAF 44 from 1967 is finally home in the Museum. I am very proud that that I was able to save this rare DAF since it was only 1 of 6 ever officially imported by DAF that year. She is also 1 of 2 known remaining examples here now. "Nellie" is a little rough around the edges but 99% complete and all original. She may have been a little overpriced by my standards but well worth saving an important piece of American DAF history. @matt, I do know the wherabouts of the last DAF which (hopefully) will be added to the collection. And yes, I do know it's color...it is White. The chances...well, that depends on a certain chap and shipping arrangements. John
