Well done all, DCA goes from strength to strength! We can only dream of 143 members here, although we do highly value the ones that we have.

Thanks All... I beleive the three of us should make a very good team and since we all live (fairly) close executive meetings would not be out of the question. Stay tuned for a weekend update.....I have the weekend off and the weather has promised to co-operate (no snow and fairly mild temperatures). John

Having enjoyed a weekend of DAFfing here across the mighty Pond I deem it time for an update. Saturday saw Postal Pete getting some attention in the form of his newly arrived Bumper set. Not having an original rear Fiberglass Bumper I chose instead to purchase a used set of Stainless Bumpers from a Volvo 140 (these were Kalmar factory installed after they found out the Fibergalss ones did not hold up well when crashed into snowbanks ;D) After removing the rubber cushions the bumpers were sanded inside and out to remove years of built up crud. I managed to prime and first coat the front Bumper after I decided to paint them to match the body color. Rear one (on left) still needs to be cleaned up. Sunday saw some action in the Museum. I had received a rather large package a few weeks ago from Holland containing some rare DAF & DAF Truck Factory Flags, so it was time to hang them. I still have one Huge DAF Truck Flag to hang in the "work bay" but that will come later because I cannot get to the walls in there. I also spent some time with Sandra today installing one of the door lock cylinder supplied by ESSEX DAF (Thank you Matt & Pete). After some minor adjustments to the striker plates I now have a locking Driver's Door. ;D ;D ;D Once the Driver's door was finished it was time to install the new Door Card supplied by Danny. I was rather lucky to find a set for the Coupe' in really good condition, they are as scarse as Hen's Teeth. The old Door Card was ready for the skip... and now the new card in place...A vast improvement I would say. ;D ;D ;D John

Excellent stuff John! You sure had a more productive weekend than Matt and I! Sandra's interior is looking superb, great find that doorcard. Don't forget, I have more 'U' clamps for the door locks ready to post to you should you need them.

Thanks Pete! Yes, I think I will need some tiny bits to finish installing the door locks- "U" clips as well as plastic bushings. *Without the plastic bushing the lock will not be properly locked in place. John PS- Your (and Matt's) care package will be going out Wednesday.
