If I can get into the garage tonight I will refit the rear bumber on Goldie as I don't like the thought of her being parked on the road without one. Not around here anyway.

Some unknown berk had parked across the garage front. No idea who it is. Grrr.
Talking of berks, some arse in a silver BMW went through a red light and nearly side dwiped me this morning. I saw him at the last second and managed to swerve out of the way. If there had been someone in the left hand lane i would have hit them. He ran another red light and roared off. I wish I'd had the chance to get his number. What a tosser.

I get the impression that there are a lot of those in your neck of the woods Ken.

Took some time back today and cracked on with some odds and sods at the Edmonton chapter of ED lol++. Whilst I was waiting for some filler to dry I took out the glovebox lid and sanded it down. It was in good overall condition but had suffered with some scratches and so on over the years: This will be primed and painted at the weekend methinks, unless I get to the garage in the interim. More filling and sanding on Goldie, I need to get a bit of topstop filler but this will have to wait to payday. This is the bonnet that will be fitted to Vee. It was quite sound but dotted with a significant number of rust dots and shallow dents. Some of the dents will be staying I am afraid but overall it should look ok: Filled and filler primed: and another view: On this pic you can see the point that gets used to give the bonnet that final closing push. That will be left in and can be dealt with by the new owner if he or she so desires. So there you go. Another small'ish update. Goldie responded by starting first turn of the key and there are no leaks from the repaired fuel tank either (yet). Cheers Ken

Nice update Ken, thanks for that! If you've got any blue paint left over then could you please bring it to Central? Vee's grill could do with a blow-over, then she'll be the same colour all over, as if nothing ever happened!

Cheers Pete, I will probably have to get another can as there is only a wee bit left in the original. I will try for two then to do the grille (depending on how many beer tokens I have).
