Reference has been made to the " Nats " held each August Bank Holiday at Trinity Park , Ipswich , in threads so I thought , for the uninitiated..... I would post a couple of pix for you ;D 1st ; My Humber Hawk gasser ready to set off to Ipswich .....and my friends Pop gasser . Just for fun..... ;D to give you some idea of the variety on the only " Public entry Day " ( Sunday ); This is Felistowe Promenade - 2 1/2 miles of kars ! where they cruise to from Ipswich This is on the Saturday , in 2009 we got the world record for a hot rod cruise 884 kars ...... There was me thinking.... after spending 6 days each August for 5/6 years ... at the Nats (apart from 2011 ...) .... on the setting-up+marshalling -clear-up crew .. I wouldnt be going this year in favour of visiting Essex Dafs ! ....PLEASE NOTE ;....im happy to go with the flow this year and honestly dont mind where/what/when my Daf friends want to do ;D Funny old world.... ;D

Looks like a good day out Kev. Now Matt, why don't we put some fat wheels on Yolanda, tub her and put a chevy v8 under the hood with a mean air scoop protruding throught the bonnet?

..I must admit this does seem appealing..however,as Stef is making an effort to race his 44 in Norfork on the Sunday,i think we should support him, after all,the Dafs would get more notice at the race than stuck at the end of a convoy of custom cars Don't get me wrong,i like custom cars as much as the next bloke

All I can say is "chacun a son gout"! Such monstrosities are not my bag at all - but I am a typical old buffer who enjoys things like when they first came out of the box1

Beckyman.. as you say ..... " to each his own taste” ...indeed , ...I always think the point is ; My Humber ; helped 5 other much better condition cars survive for a few more years ...IE ; engine in 1 car , gearbox in another , interior in another , front suspension and brakes in another ! steering box in another...etc etc.... mine was scrap ! 4 doors were as rotten as they come....wiring burnt out , Nothing worked........ it owes me £655....what can ya get for that ? and ZZ Top loved it when they sat in it........ ;D ;D ;D

Hands up! I was not intending to be rude; neither was I meaning to imply that a decent car had been butchered. It was meant to be a personal opinion only that anything which looks like your creation however splendid in conception and engineering skill has never appealed to me and I would get little pleasure in attending a gathering of such machinery. as I said before - Chacun.....&c.!

Or as the old man would say "if everyone had the same taste then they'd all want to sleep with your mother" I agree Kev, I'd rather see a Humber customised than cubed.
