No bother Ken. A few handy "rules" for everyone searching for cars/parts worth remembering: 1) Not everything available on earth is on eBay 2) Not everything is on t'internet. 3) Not everything DAF has to be sourced from The Netherlands. 4) Not everything interesting goes on at the t'other place

Just called the local factors, they can have a pair in on 'next day' delivery. Just a couple of pence dearer but I can just go and pick 'em up. They used the KYB reference too.
Support your local factor!!! Yay!!!
Thanks again.

That's what I like to hear Ken. Supporting your local factor for local people ;D Tell me, was the last item on the MOT list a front or rear damper? (Front ones can be rebuilt, or a cartridge insert can be got from KYB too) PM me your address please as I think you deserve a prize for shopping local.

Yes, it was about the rear shocks. Mind you, even if the front one's need doing at some point, the price isn't going to prevent replacement.
I am intrigued!!!! You have a PM lol+++.
Cheers

Do you know if the distributor parts are new new stock or new old stock? Please report back on quality of said items when you have them all to hand

Brand new top quality Motaquip distributor cap. Part Number VDC104 Applications: Ovlov 66, 1975-78 DAF 55 & 66, 1967-75
The points were NOS Lucas items.
They all look good to me, but I will compare them to what is on the car as soon as. The spark plugs are NGK ones bought via ebay at £6 something or other. Better than 1/2 the price of Halfrauds.
Cheers
Ken
