Two weekends ago Matt travelled up to Derbyshire to meet up with Paul Robinson and Stefan Waumsley. They had amassed quite a few DAF spares but were running out of space and needed them moved quickly. We had to secure the future of these spares and this prompted the trip in Matt's friend's Toyota Hiace. I have no pictures from the day but was told the van was fully loaded. Two 66 engines, one complete with clutch drum, the other for spares. The cylinder head will be used for blue 33 which has a swized bolt in her head from an attempted water pump change. There were panels too, including a 33 bonnet and doors plus a 'B' body door as well as 'B' body vynil seats in good condition. For Aircooled 'B' body fans there was an 850cc engine which appeared to turn over nicely with good compression. There was also a partly stripped 66 vario, exhaust components and steering wheels/columns for the 66. Staying with the 66, there were headlamps and surrounds, lamps and lenses, a fuel tank, stalks and switches, brake components, the list is endless. It took most of an afternoon to stack the parts away in their right places and we didn't get too much of the smaller parts put away, but at least we can move again in the parts barn! ;D All in all a very worthwhile trip and hopefully the spares will be safe in our parts barn for anyone who is in need.

I'll keep my eyes open Matt. I do have an assortment of 55 bits which I have not sorted (only because I do not have a 55 here). John
