www.classicmotorshow.com/motor_show.htmlProbably a bit far for most, but only about 25mins away for me, so, weather permitting, planning on taking Goldie for a day out. Been to the shows there before ( although not been for a couple of years ) and they usually have quite a good turn out aswell as a good selection of autojumble bits, so will have to see if i can spot anything Daf related, or even any Dafs.

Enjoy your first show with Goldie Daz. She'll most likely be the only DAF but you'll soon get used to that! And the best thing is that, unlike MG Midgets and Triumph Spitfires, there'll not be another DAF for Goldie to be judged against, people will be pleased just to see one, and usually have a tale or two about them back in the day to regale to you.

I know what you mean about shows being pricey. There's been a couple this year that we used to go to, but distance ( so petrol costs ) plus entrance means your spending loads before you take into account food, drink etc. I'll make sure i take my camera , and hopefully the weather will be kind

It always disappoints me when show organisers make exhibiters pay for displaying. Without the cars on display they wouldn't get Joe public paying to get in. So we go to all the efforts and are treated same as those who have arrived in their Ford Mundanos. I can understand charging club stands as they may have merchandise to sell or drum up membership, but it sucks when they do that to individuals.

Took a few pics, well Emily did, so haven't got round to putting them on the pc yet .. but will do soon Show wasnt bad. There was a decent turnout of classic cars, and a few traders, but there was also several empty marked out pitches, so maybe the weather put people off ? The Chris Barrie talk was good. It was basically him ( and a projector for photos ) talking about the huge selection of machines that he's filmed for various programmes over the years. It was an extra £3 for this, but felt it was worth it, as the 45mins show ended up being 1hr 30mins, and he still only got just over half way - he had to end it early as he was giving out prizes and people were getting cold Didn't see any other Dafs - although i think i would have been surprised if i had. So overall not a bad show. I think next year, if they advertise better, and drop the price ( and get better weather ) then it could turn in to something quite good.
