At Litchfield I was approached by a member of the public who told me he had a NOS inlet manifold for sale. He had thought it was a VW item but having seen Gavina thinks it is for a 33. It certainly looks right, aside from a flange attached to one of the pipes. It's been offered for an attractive price so if it's right then I'll buy it. The vendor has sent me these photos. So what do we reckon, will it fit a 33? That is certainlly a DAF manifold. That flange you see may mean it is a 44 item but you should be able to make it fit regardless. Looks to me to be the mounting for the kick down rod on a 44/46.

Application: DAF 44 & 46 (thus an 850cc)The flange was a dead giveaway Pete. If the price is attractive...BUY IT !!!! How many times do you run across a pristine NOS DAF intake manifold (I may take it off your hands, if no one else needs it. I have 3 850cc cars) John

Thanks guys! I knew that flange looked iffy but if it'll fit...I reckon it's worth a punt then at £70 delivered to secure the part. I know they cost over 200 yoyos in The Netherlands. Once I have it, if I change my mind then I'll be happy to pass it on for what it owes me.

I don't think there were enough photos, Pete See if you can get a few more. My 44 one is perfect anyhow so I wouldn't need it, but I MIGHT have some new or at least excellent used 33 ones about (if you run into problems) when I can finally get to my fabled "DAF-stash"....

Sorry for the thick moment earlier but im now pretty sure you'll struggle to make a 44 manifold fit as the engines are longer stroke and have different cylinder heads. p.s. I know Mark needs one for Gladys

Yuppers.... What Paul said...It will NOT work on a 33 lump Pete. The jugs are spaced differently, so don't even attempt it on Gavina. Sorry. John

OK, if anyone wants it then the person to contact is david.ollier@mypostoffice.co.uk
I had agreed a price of £70 delivered IF it was right for Gavina.
I'll let him know it is advertised here.
Thanks all,
Pete.

Well, the vendor says he'll give the forum a few weeks and if no joy he'll bay it. I've also suggested he gets a US postage quote. If anyone is interested then let me know and if there's no interest after a few days then I'll advertise it over t'road.
