Nice pile of bits Kev. I had to laugh when I read about the about the White lenses... I remember talking to a Service rep who worked at one of the New York DAF Dealers and all of the Type 31 and Type 32 DAFs were delivered here with White lenses. Since they were illegal in the States every single one had to be changed before they could be sold. The White ones were all thrown in the skip. John

A short pit-stop...but managed a couple of hours today ... ;D Started off with this ; ( thats wd40 spray ).... took front drum off - no hub-puller needed !..... ;D and found this ; Great ! Amazingly clean ! brake shoes look nearly new , Then the FuN started.. .im going to replace all the brake hoses so went to remove it....the pipe popped-off no probs but ....would the bl##dy hose undo ?......I had to resort to bending the support bracket ( see top of picture )..down so I could get a SOCKET + looooong bar on it ! ...even then it fought every single thread.... Then popped wheel cylinder rubber off to reveal.. solid lump of rust ! - but gonna change all 4 cylinders anyway as well , to be safe . Here we have genuine 1973 over-spray ! ....still no dirt on it , ( yet .....) dont think he prepped the wheel-arch lip on the new wing very well !

Nice to see some more work going on there Kev. Yes, those rear flexible hoses are a real pain to change. I remember removing Gavina's fuel tank to get to hers and stunk out the household for two weeks with the smell of petrol...
