Perhaps Rudolph is not a Mark 1. His headlights are certainly not as small as Becky's, my 33. I think they are about the same size as Dilly's, Richard's 44 estate. They are about 6.75" in dia from edge to edge of the concave section. Perhaps I may not have to trouble Danny after all. Pix soon to appear courtesy of Essex Dafs. Thanks lads.

Marks are very rough approximations in the world of DAFs / Volvos. Model year might be more appropriate.

Sounds like Rudolf has the later lights fitted, it doesn't mean he is not a mk1 though someone may have fitted later lights as Mk1 units are hard to come by. Easy way to tell which are fitted are they retained by poppers or by a spring. Mk2 units are removed by simply pulling hard on the lens, Mk1 units you need to unhook the spring and pull up a spring loaded clip in order to pull the unit out.
