Rudolph is ready to be collected from the bodyshop. I can hardly wait to see him in his restored state. They have told me that they have managed to break one of his headlights and also that his reflectors are very dull. Can anyone help with one new concave lens and a pair of decent reflectors - or I shall have to try and get the existing ones resilvered - but I still need the concave glass lens. Any offers will be welcomed.

Oh then you need to contact Danny mk1 headlamps are unique, Sophie is also a mk1 and her headlamps are about an inch and a half smaller than mk2 ones. The headlamp bowls are different as well.

Rudolph is being delivered to me tomorrow morning. I will take photos and close up with measurements of the broken headlight. I'll send them to Matt but I have never managed to get photos to the forum - a pity - but I think I'm too old and silly to master this arcane art! My photos are stored in Picasa except they say they store nothing just organise things within my laptop

Matt sorry I forgot my camera earlier, But you should recognise them from this. Mk1 headlamps are retained by a spring rather than poppers, so look for one without poppers. At the bottom a little notch fits under the spring and at the top there is a slot through which the fixing in the bowl goes. These are mk1 bowls the headlamps are unique to mk1 44, the fixing is the same as the 33 type. A 33 headlamp may fit but lacks the concave lens.
