Well those pics confirm Rudolph has been fitted with mk2 headlamps. Lovely car that though, being a mk1 it should also have carpets, but they fit over the rubber matts so would have been easily lost. Personally I wouldn't bother returning the lights to the original spec the later type are a lot lot lot better. Rudolph light. Sophies lights definatly smaller and note the much thicker chrome ring.

Marcus...Rudolph looks very nice and a job well done on getting him looking like that...replacement lens awaits to be posted and will go after your back from holiday Paul...now i see the difference,we don't have any of your lenses in stock so please be careful with yours

Rudy is almost ready to try for his MOT. His headlight is restored to good order albeit his headlight rims are secured by long woodscrews at present. I have still to discover how they should be fixed! He was hard to start until I discovered that he likes a sharp blip on the accelerator pump before any attempt is made with the starter - then he fires up at once. The ignition warning lamp stays alight until high revs are achieved - a faulty dynamo or regulator I suppose. There does not appear to be facility to adjust the regulator unless you know better. More news in due course.
