Anyone possibly have a cross over for a 55/66 front Caliper pin with spring kit ?? ??
Numbers, makes or other cars they may fit would be fantastic.

Perfect...any idea what years that covers ?? Over here all these computer parts geeks search by application. That would also mean that a caliper repair kit would apply to the same car(s) and available her in the States ?? I know the Pads apply to SAAB & BMW, which can be purchased here because I have some in stock already. They also very closely resemble the pin kit for a SAAB...is that possible Rich ?? John

For application years, just Google the ATE number and work backwards. I'm not gonna spoon feed you all day. Over here all these computer parts geeks search by application. Just give them a slap. Computer parts catalogues can be searched any which way, however correct entry details may be sketchy, incorrect or omitted particularly for older vehicles. E.g the ATE webcat shows the pads against V66, but no fitting kit. The pin kit and pads are the same as cars with that basic ATE caliper of that era. However, the caliper piston/seals/dust seals may be different as different size pistons are used. Can't remember off the top of my head the exact diameter of the DAF pistons. (Either 44? or 48?), but I can remember that Bug ones aren't the same.

No spoon feeding required Rich....big problem is THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE HERE. Yes, they fit VW Beetle 49-73 Yes, they fit VW 1500 & 1600 65-73 Yes, they fit BMW 5 series 72-81 Yes, they fit Alpha Spyder 66-93 Availability in the USA= 0 (even with OEM numbers and/or interchange numbers) So I will be checking with the local VW dealers and browsing Flea-Bay finding a supplier who will ship to the States. They must be available your way. God, they made enough of the feckin' things. Are you sure it's not you're reluctance to talk to the "dark side"? I'll send you some over with your flask on Monday?

;D Thanks Rich ;D That linkie is great !!!
There is no hurry with replacement kit...I'll see what I can locate here in due time. I have a spare set of ATE calipers I am rebuilding so there is ample time.

Feck it, I stuck them in a jiffy bag and went do to the post office....
However, it was shut. Then I remembered it's a bank holiday today here. Tomorrow it'll be in the post.
