Hi folks, I guess I am kind of testing the water with this.
I purchased the little Azura (I believe) LHD 33 from my good friends at ED. The intention was to slowly restore her to the best of my ability and have a nice little example of a 33 (as well as VUF). There is a fair amount of bodywork to contend with but the mechanical side of things seems pretty straightforward. A bit of sensible recommissioning would be helpful and should bear fruit. The interior is pretty darn good with only a bit of cleaning required.
I have to be honest and admit defeat in relation to my resto plans. I have VUF to finish off, a Granada to sort out and a Triumph to fettle. I also have my sights still set on a CF van (maybe). The little Daf just seems like it will never be done in my lifetime. I also have some needy Dafs at Central to attend to ;D
So, unless I win the lotto over the next couple of weeks, the little Daf 33 is now for sale. There are no UK papers for her although this shouldn't be an issue as I have sufficient Belgian documentation to make this an easy process to sort out I believe.
The car is up for sale at £250 (firm). She has to be worth this in spares and scrap. There are some piccies on the forum and you really do need to be a dab hand at welding and not scared of doing some fabrication. She is far from a basket case but be mindful of my previous comments. I would love to see her sold to someone on this forum, but I guess we will have to see what happens.
Cheers
Ken
