In celebration of her 4th MOT pass in a row, I thought it was time that Betty got a thread on here Although she technically had a fail for handbrake efficiency this time, the nice man tweaked her adjusters and got her through at the end of the test, before I'd returned to collect her and at no charge. Yet another reason to find a sympathetic tester and stick with him So, here's Betty - now with a new ticket and all ready for her next trip to Essex in a couple of weeks....

Well done Joe! I shall pass on the good news to Gavina - in the hope that she behaves herself for the next two weeks...

Remind Gavina that if she doesn't behave I'll have my carbon torch with me

Obviously, since starting this thread, Betty has been out & about quite a bit. I think Essex and back with a trailer counts as "a bit" anyway ;D Her next booking is for New Forest and back to visit the Beaulieu autojumble, with (hopefully) a detour via Essex again on the way back to sort out Snowdrop once & for all. Pete or Matt, could you check with Farmer George if it would be ok for us to pitch a tent for a couple of nights around the weekend of the 18th September please? Meanwhile, in more local business, she was off to the petrol station today (accompanied by Matilda) and found herself sharing the forecourt with these two: That's two c.1910 Triumph motorcycles for the uninitiated Until that damn Corsa snuck on they were the only vehicles on the forecourt. Apparently the motorcyclists (can hardly call them bikers ) had set off from Derby this morning and were headed to the ferry and thence to Kerry. That's about 340 miles on machines that you have to run alongside, then jump on, to start ;D

Wow... Those Triumph bikes are fantastic. I don't think I would do 340 miles on a "jump to start" stick of wheels. Betty & 'Tilly look great as well. John

That's not just "jump to start" John, that's "run with bike to start"! What a lovely pair and what an adventure for their riders. I'm sure there will be no problems with pitching a tent Joe but will check with Farmer George nonetheless.
