We just hadn't factored in Princethorpe Matt. I doubt many wanted to do two weekends in quick succession. Probably best not to hold one in three year's time? Saying that we still had enough turnout to have fun and we'll always welcome visitors whenever they want to, erm...visit.

Wow! has it really been this long for poor old Betty to get a mention? There hasn't really been much to report, as many of you know, as she's been sitting patiently waiting for some loving. Only, as we had to clear the workshop by Monday, the time came today for her to move to her new home. originally she was going to be trailered, but a very helpful local garage suggested that, seeing as she was being moved to their yard in the course of MOT repairs (minor welding needed apart from the cosmetics) , if she'd run it might be easier (and kinder to George the Pug) to drive her over on trade plates. So, this morning, we went down with a can of fuel and some jump leads. After giving a quick check-over of tyres, brakes, lights etc for any obvious safety issues George's 12v diesel battery soon had her running despite her completely dead (that's dead, not just flat!) 6v battery. And, with a little creak from her belts, she drove! In fact, according to the person behind the wheel, she drove very nicely Apologies for the colour cast on the video - for some reason my phone seems to do that on full zoom I've got to say, hearing her happily puttering away and seeing her behave so well after her hibernation has been a real mojo boost towards getting her sorted

Good to see Betty finally getting a safe home again. I can bet that her battery will not remain dead for long Joe...not with you behind the wheel every chance you get. ;D

Well done Joe, I hope this means you will find the time to crack on with her Resto...or after her little drive you might be getting your ear chewed over it.
