Did you? I've lost count of the number of times they've repeated subjects. Must be 20 years since I regularly bought a copy. Yes. I posted that in 1839 and I can change the date stamp to prove it!

Spent a productive afternoon on the daf. Got wiper motor out no problems, linkage was fine. Innards of motor were filthy. A careful strip down. Clean and reassembly and it worked like a dream. Also stripped dow the flasher relay and that works now.. and freed up the window winder linkage! Only downside was the washer squirter bulb split

Wow, great effort that man!
The bulbs are a problem and they are in very short supply. Probably your best bet is to get an aftermarket item (I hear series 1 landies are good for this) with an electric pump and wire in a switch under the dash. Sadly you can't go entirely without the button as it doubles up for the wiper switch.

Love the Standard!!!! The Series push thingy will do but it is a bit miserable. The 12v pump, etc is the better option.

managed to unseize both the bootlock and the door lock this afternoon.
Had to tweak the boot mechanism as it wasnt quite right.
All thats left now is to get busy with the welder and tidy up the bodywork.
looks like i needed none of the parts i originally requested - time to call it a day on this thread and maybe start a project thread in the correct space, cheers for all the advice!
