Lovely!! And inspiring!! Good news is that at last I've been reunited with a bodywork expert that I've known for about 20 years who does AMAZING work (he used to do all my cars many years ago, but we lost touch). Bumped into him at a car show this Sunday and he's still local! So maybe the first of the 32s can go over and get her bodywork sorted out and some fresh paint applied Then who'll be a happy boy? Yep, that'll be me! A long-standing ambition finally being achieved.....! His website is www.karracing.com Many years ago he had a red Mercury Cougar in his unit that was used in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (one of seven). It was bought for £2,000 - and sold for £150,000!!!!

dear god... over a year since any news on Tilly.. well as some of you would know her engine developed a knock that refused to go away and just got worse and worse until the point she suddenly overheated one day (still got me home though-200 miles worth) so I pulled her engine to sort the noise and return her to sewing machine noises rather than twin-tub noises.. Engine on the Bench, not seen this clutch setup before so photos were the order of the day.. Oil Drainer at work whilst I was Bit of referencing to ensure the clutch shoes went back in facing the same way (learnt that one on Gina) The macgiver way of bearing removal... which I should add has never failed not on four bearings that ive removed now. Insert the 13mm nut and wind the thread into it till it just contacts behind the lip of the bearing, then pin the nut down using the screwdriver and very carefully wind it in, simple... ala this... sorry not got three hands so cant do action shots Ahh the other method of fixing a crankshaft on.. easy way to lock the flywheel. Wedge something in it.. thats it for now, rain well and truly stopped play and I mean rain... continuous thunder for 12 minutes followed by enough water to put 2 inches of water in my yard and be gushing down the drains, also showed I will be doing some felting on my shed roof tomorrow as its leaking like a sieve

Good to see her on the way And that rules out fear number one for he rattle - I was sure I had locked the flywheel bolts, but..... For getting those bolts out, btw, you can either remove the circlip (but it's seriously tight!) or you can rotae it in its groove to line up each bolt in turn with the "gap".

I also had circlip pliers until I tried to shift that clip. After trying, I had snub-nose pliers.
