Just seen this in Practical Classics magazine. Amazing how a diagnosis can be made without seeing the car. Perhaps it's dropped a clutch shoe, that would make it hard to push. But really I'd want to get to the bottom of why it has broken down. I don't know the owner for us to advise him nor do I think he is a forum user. Hey ho... Still fun to guess what the issue might be!

Those people are called "Shadetree Mechanics" in the States Pete. Always plenty of wrong free advise. John

Still fun to guess what the issue might be! They are right DAFs are hard to push, but the way that has been described is over the top. If it had dropped a clutch shoe It would as you say make it very hard to push, but only if in gear. I suspect his brakes are binding as two of us can push Sophie in an out of the workshop and that is quite a steep slope.
