Send Howard a PM he is based in Bristol has a few 33s and fair amount of spares as well. He's kind helpful chap and knowledgeable about DAFs. If its just bulbs you need a decent motor factor can order them in for you and you can even get 6v H4 halogen bulbs that fit. What is the issue with the headlamps if its dipping side they have a tab on the bulb holder that allows you to change from right hand to left hand dip and vice versa.

Thanks very much it's the lights them selves the silver has peeled off inside the light so it won't shine or focus. Both the same the rubber boots are missing off the backs so the damp has rated the reflectors.

Welcome and well done in the purchase of Isabel. Lewis and crew did a super job bringing her back to life. Iv'e actually fitted all my DAFs with sealed beam 6 volt headlamps so the problem of water damage has been eliminated. The original units should still be available locally though.

Where did you get the sealed beam s from? i take it the lights are 53/4 inch and they fit in the rims ok usually you need the correct bowl to go with them my local factors looked at me like I was a nutter( read as window licker) I even said to him that he would feel left out when he realises that all windows taste like strawberry ice cream.
juat been doing research on Isabel and she did in dead live in Nottingham I have an mot from a place in Mansfield now this is where it gets spooky I come from Mansfield originally born 67 left 84 I went to collage in Nottingham. I am now scared as the reason I have the daf is my uncle had dafs he had a a yellow one and a do do do do red one could it be he lived in sleeford lincs

Well Ozzie... It's a bit different here in the States. Sealed beam lamps are 7 inches (as required by law). What I had to do was to remove the chrome surround in order to fit them. However, having said that the 5 3/4 inch lamps are still made and available but today they are used on farm tractors and may only be available through an agricultural factor.

Ignition switch on the dash to the left of the dials and indeed turning the washer bulb should activate the wipers.

might be worth looking at the outer lamps of something more modern (bmw e30 comes to mind) that had quad small round headlights, maybe they would fit ?
