Any tips/advice for removing the door handles on my 66.
I will be stripping for paint shortly and need to remove the fittings. The boot lock is easy and access good, but the door handles/locks?
Thanks

pretty sure the handles are bolted at one end and slot into the other end, I will get a picture on the doors I have at work tomorrow, spring clip on lock barrel is work of satan, remove rubber carefully around the windows on both sides (it sits into a metal formed slot and might be pinched in (unobtainable so be careful with it) then undo the screws holding in the plate in the top half of the door, IF you have quarterlights (cant see on you avatar) drill the two rivets at top of channel then big screws on bottom and worm it out. window reg is on screws either end and three bolts around the handle bit. this then gives good access to the rest of it

Cheers Nick. From memory I recall there wasn't enough room to get a hand in Still, it's worth the effort (I might not be saying that when I try to put them back on)

Yes indeed! Once the Door card has been removed simply unscrewing the Black panel makes life so much easier when you have to remove the handle. John
