Well, at Beaulieu we picked up some "bargain" brake shoes, listed to fit our 46 estate. Needless to say, they dont fit.... All i can tell you is they were listed to fit 44 & 46 - do 44s have different brakes to a 46? Anyway, we have 3 sets of Unipart GBS1036, which look like this: And 1 set of GBS1024, which look like this: All have damaged / ripped boxes but the shoes inside are fine. For sale at what they cost us - £5 per set! Postage could be arranged, at cost. Thanks - Matt.

What you appear to have there are "ATE" type shoes for 200mm drums. The second picture is a rear axle set which is identical to the first picture, but with the inclusion of handbrake arms on two of the shoes. The front axles ones can be used on the rear, providing the handbrake arms can be recovered from a previous set. So they are good for 44 fronts, 44/55 rears. Early 66s have 7" Lockheed rear drums, later ones have 8" Girling drums and (Nick will know for sure), the front and rear brakes on the 46 are Girling. Welcome to the world of dodgy catalogue references.

Thanks MacP.
Certainly our 46 is Girling all round - Mk2 Escort shoes and cylinders.

Matt, did you ever find a cross reference for the rear cylinders?
