Yes, after the permission of my wife, and founded the "resources" (trimming Vespa budget...) i'm going to renew the car body of my Gina. From this decision descend a lot of questions that i'll list here, hoping in your precious help! Do not leave me alone! And be patient for my bad google-translated english!!! 1. body paint code, Gina is an aubergine Daf. What's code of this colour? Now the color start aubergine on the front fading to brown in the rear... 2. rear window drefroster. Dont work. The command on dashboard works, the cable arriving on defroster bring electricity, surely the slopes (? maybe tracks?) are interrupted. Make a temptative to restore those or search a replacement? there are conduptive paint or geaphte pencil. Do you have experience about these? some of you have 3. I have to change the safety belts, there are compatible from others cars most recent? some of you have? 4. headrest: it's possible to mount where they was not in origin? some of you have? 5. fasteners of the inner panels. Now are in metal, someone is broken, someone is missing, there something to replace? Something of modern? double-sided adhesive tape? 6. fuel gauge, from mid fall to 0, probably depends from floating in the tank? Easy to restore? some of you have? 7. it's easy desmount the cockpit to clean the interior of transparent plastic of instrumentation (or there is the danger of breaking some plastic tab? Grazie! Grazie! Grazie!

2 I have used the conductive paint in the past. It worked well for a time, then one day the rear window shattered for no reason. Was this to do with the paint, I don't know, but possibly a hotspot ? 4 Yes I have changed seats for ones with headrests. If you can get replacements it is an easy swap. I had to weld an extra part to the top of one seat, then the highback cushion fitted pefectly. 7 The cockpit/binnacle is very easy to strip out, see macplaxton post. Sorry I misread the question. When I did this job, I put slightly brighter bulbs in and it looks much better.

1. Colour name = BERGINA - Contact local auto paint supplier or manufacturer: www.lechler.eu3. Inertia reel belts for various cars are manufactured by Securon www.securon.co.uk/ or www.quickfitsbs.com/4. Use DAF/Volvo 66 high back seat with integral headrest 5. Use modern plastic equivalents or original style: www.bresco.com/6. Sender unit in tank, break in resistance wire winding: DSCF4976a.JPG by macplaxton, on Flickr DSCF4979a.JPG by macplaxton, on Flickr Find another or get a specialist to rewind with new resistance wire. 7. Easy, instrument binnacle unclips. Push down and pull out top and swing towards you.

Hi!
can i mount the seats of the Volvo 66 on the Daf 66? attacks and guides are equal? probably the padding is different, but using the style of the lining of the Daf what you can disguise, or not? the daf 66 had headrest blacks like volvo 66 or had back with built-in headrest? that is a 66 volvo station, can i use its posterior seat on a sedan 66 daf?
Thanks! Stefano

Yes, you should be able to mount them straight in. Some Volvo 66 seats have open headrests, some all part of the seat.
Older DAF 66 have tilt seats, the just tilt forward. Later DAF 66 have tilt-angle seats, the fold over towards to the centre of the car. Volvo seats are tilt angle. I'll post a picture later.

Hi! I found two front seats Volvo 66 to be mounted on Gina. How can I remove the headrests? For shipping I have to limit the size of the package. I also have to dismantle them to change the coating (these seats are blue, Gina has light brown seats ).

I'll have to check later. You should be able to remove the headrests, I don't think it is as easy as on a Volvo 200.

Hi, the jobs go slowly forward, I bought another 66, in excellent condition, but can not use on the road for administrative reasons.
1. I had trouble removing the dashboard because of the heating and ventilation controls, it is very difficult to disconnect the control cables!
2. To remove the doors I just remove the latches of the hinges
3. And for glasses? just push from the inside to the outside?
4. Where can I find the switch for the rear fog light and antenna power with the right size for the holes of the optional center console?
Thanks!
