Hi everyone, I'm back seeking more knowledge, this time about the front wings. More specifically how to remove them. Last year I discovered some really bad rust "repair" which involved a lot of filler, glass fiber and even paper. (you don't really wanna know)
So long story short I'm in need of a pair of new wings, I've found everything I need on dafhobby except for the left one which unfortunately is the most damaged one.
But before I can buy any new metal I need to remove my current ones and inspect the inner wing as well, and there's where I'm stuck. I can't see any bolts/nuts which leads me to believe they're spot-welded, but I don't want to go crazy with the angle-grinder before knowing more.

They're spot-welded on.

clean along the top edge with a knot wheel in an angle grinder (full face protection and thick clothes must be worn when using one as they can spit bristles with enough force to stick in your skin) this will show the dimples where the spot welds are, then either spend a lot fo money buying a spot weld drill that will blunt within a few and be worthless or sharpen a 6mm bit so the bottom is almost a flat with a tiny point in the centre and use that to drill the top layer of metal off, not the end lf the world if you drill right through as you can always reweld the holes and grind flat before refitting the wings , dont forget the welds where they are joined to the air vents that feed the variomatic though
