Hi all,
My V66 really could do with a proper gearbox overhaul if I am honest. Belts are virtually new - done last year and only about 400 miles since, but I am not sure they were ever adjusted properly when fitted. It is running ok, but the tell-tale vibration is not getting better..........
The Vacuum control is clicking away as it should, but I think the diaphragms are both leaking, almost certainly need the oil seals doing too. Strong suspicion that the clutch also needs adjusting - feels like it is biting at way too high revs.
Looking underneath I also think one of the belt adjusters is broken, almost certainly when the new belts were fitted last year!
Whilst I am still using it, I want to get the car back on the road properly, so need help in getting the required bits, and getting the work done. I probably could work it out but tbh I have neither the time or the required experience!
So, help please! I could get it to you guys in Essex, if you would be prepared to supply the bits and do the work?
Or does anyone know of anyone in the south east who could do the work if you can supply the bits? I'm in Eastbourne.
Any advice or help gratefully received - please!
Graeme

There should only be one belt adjuster.

Thanks Matt,
Sadly I'm away for the August BH so won't be able to make it to the weekender.
As far as I know, I only need 2 x diaphragm's to get the vacuum control working again, but I am told that when doing this you should replace the 2 "oil seals" as well (?).
Let me know what you have, and anything else you think I might need!
Regards Graeme
