It looks nice and i seem to remember reading the restoration article on it...some reason i thought it was a converted car but they say it's original.
Hope it finds a new home and is seen around the Daf scene.

Apart from converting the electrics to 12 volts this seems original. I've seen one other pick-up, which had been converted from a car; the giveaway in that case was the dashboard, which had 2 dials. Daf 33 vans and pickups were based on the 33 "comfort" car, which had only one dial and no fuel gauge.

I've just looked at that restoration and it's a labour of love! That fiddly bit around the fuel tank filler pipe was particularly awkward and I'm impressed by the standard of the work throughout! 33 pickups must have been an odd build, as many parts seem peculiar to the pickup alone; those rear light clusters were used on early Daf series 30 cars (I think!) so maybe Daf had a few left over for the small number of pickups they manufactured.

Hi, just to put matters right, the Grey Pick-up recently on e-bay is 100% genuine, the A.E.Costin one in red[above]is a genuine but restored one[non standard rear lights], and mine, in red and yellow[at the moment],is converted from a 33 car. As far as I know these are the only 3 in the UK. I may have mentioned in the past but the Daf Dealer in Lincolnshire put in an order for several pick-ups, but Holland dragged their heels so much[yes they would provide them,no they couldn't], in the end he ordered vans and had them converted.[I'm still looking for a van to restore].................................starider.
