Matt has been in discussion with an owner in Carlisle.
There are two 44s for sale. One is 1971/2 and is a six volt converted to 12 volt and 'beige' in colour.
The other is 1973/4 and is yellow.
One car has stainless bumpers, the other has the later rubber capped bumpers.
They have been stored under cover for a few years and Matt has been told that they are quite solid.
The owner is asking £150 each car, which also come with spares.
We don't have any photos at this stage and naturally it's a little far for us to travel just to inspect them. If anyone fancies taking one on then PM myself or Matt and we'll put you in touch with the owner.
Pete.

Would like to John but Carlisle and back with a trailer is a seriously long day. That's a good few hours each way. With the price of petrol that's more than the cars are worth (and we'd need a flatbed recovery truck with a tow hook for a second trailer). We're also a little short of space. Can't save 'em all you know! So we'll open up to the forums and see if there is any interest. Hey, two cars - that's half a four car container John! That's Vince sorted, now what are you filling your two spaces with?
