I was curious having seen my 46 on ebay recently if the new owner was on here as she seemed to make good money despite the crap auction description??

Just had a thought on the Daf 46, as it only has one belt it is important to check the pulley gap and condition of the belt its self regularly. There is almost always a warning of failure beginning[common on all DAF models].When this happens the rear of the car "shimmies" as if there is a badly buckled rear wheel. Carefull driving i.e.gentle acceleration and low speed to a place/home where the belt can be replaced is important to prevent a chance of being stranded. Most DAF owners understand the need for regular belt checks.

only happened twice. once with a new old stock belt, then a club kevlar one that seemed to disintegrate, the replacement was far better
