What with Boris and everything else (lots happening here that we can't talk about just yet) I've only just managed to catch up with this thread. Very much liking the progress on Sarge, and will watch for the diaphragm change with interest seeing as one's now on my list - still wondering if there's access to do them in-situ???

I will update the bellows change as soon as I am able. I do feel that they will need to be changed after taking him for a test drive the other day. Still no kick-down effect. There is no reason in the world why the Primary needs to come out to change them...there have been many postings on the Dutch sites showing the bellows being changed in position with the DAF on a lift. That is what my intention is! I will need to purchase a surgical syringe so that the primary can be refilled after. John

You should be getting close to being back on the road Nick (although we haven't seen any current updates) After my visitors left the Museum today I had some time for some DAFfing....Postal Pete and his brakes were on the agenda this afternoon. After mounting the Left plate back on I worked to free the adjuster cams....I love this system ! So easy to work on. A shot of penetrating oil, a 17mm spanner, a few taps with a hammer and they are free and working as new. I also managed to finish up the right side. Everything is new so it is ready to button up and throw on a wheel first thing in the morning. John

Nice show report John and well done to you and Butterscotch ;D Will check the stock for cyl`s and sure we have a few...Dan picked up 30 the other day I would be more hoping to locate some of those adjusters for Butterscotch Matt. New cylinders were found on evil-Bay. Update on Postal Pete ('cause I know how much you like updates)... Brake Line work has commenced! Re-located the diverter block to make things a little easier for me. I'm taking no chances and decided to install Goodrich steel braided flex lines in place of rubber. I'll not be doing a "Canadian Postal Employee" with this Kalmar. ;D I managed to get most the lines laid out and hooked up in front plus install a new Master Cylinder. The rest of my afternoon was spent under "Postal Pete" cleaning and destroying rust on the Frame. Really good progress for a few hours of work. John [/img]
