I wanted a full set of new spanky & shiny ones for Butterscotch Matt...I had replaced all the front ones but had no new for the rear. That is why I am so pissed . ;D I drove 180 miles round trip (over hill & dale) without rear brakes when I went to the Saratoga show on the 19th. John

Fear not John as I think we have new in stock. Unless you want some crusty old ones, which we also have.

They do that to you, John. In fact, they're second only to women on that score ;D

Busy day at DAF Central-USA today... Time for a bit of "Spring Cleaning" so I sent some of the "kids" outside to play while "Daddy" cleaned their cage. ;D ;D I needed some room to change a few displays around and set up some new ones. What a lovely sight. Today my local handy-man dropped off a new Heating Oil Tank and the Furnace (Boiler) should arrive in a few days. I should be able to keep the Museum open all year with the new heat. Yes, it's big but this 275 (U.S.) gallon monster is the smallest they make for households here. Let's see...at $ 3.84 per Gallon (now) I will spend $ 1,056.00 to fill it. When the furnace runs it should use 3-4 gallons per day John

That 275 US gal (1041 litres) tank doesn't look that big, or at least from the angle you've taken the pic at. I've got a plastic tank in the back yard that is about 1250 litres. I've no idea what my consumption is though, as I've never had oil heating prior to moving here. Heating oil is taxed differently, so when I bought 1000 litres back in March, it was 895 EUR.
I've just checked and it is 870 yoyos for a 1000L of kero today. I think in April it was over 940 EUR. At today's rates your tank would cost the equivalent of 840 yoyos - not too much difference.

@ Rich, You burn Kero in you Boiler? Here Kero is over $ 4.00 per gallon ($4.09 to be precise) so we never burn that stuff unless the oil tank is placed outside and then it is mixed with Diesel ("Winter Blend" which will not gel). The prefered choice around here is #2 (which is basically an off road Diesel with a different color tint). Off -Road is 10 cents cheaper than standard #2 so maybe I'll fill the tank myself with that all during the Summer months. John
