I've seen them with two battery straps going round over the top. All distirbutors should be chucked in the B1N and a DIS fitted!

You are probably correct Sir Richard, that crap should belong in the bin. ;D
I will be letting Vince know because the 1300 & 1400cc motors have a far worse reputation for "throwing a dizzy" than the 1100cc ones, according to my Dutch DAF expert.

You are probably correct Sir Richard, that crap should belong in the bin. ;D That's why late 1397cc motors have Renix ignition.

While the Secondary Sheaves are at the body shop I did some blasting myself... I blasted through cleaning and re-painting the Secondary tubes with 3 coats of Epoxy paint. After they had dried the tubes were mounted back under Pete. One less thing I have to worry about later. Now all I have to do is wait to view the outcome of the pulleys. John

After dropping out the Primary and removing the shields everything under Postal Pete is finished. The Chassis is repainted, Secondaries re-hung, new Brake lines are in, new gas line is in, new Vacuum lines have been run and the Primary has been serviced. Painting has begun on the Primary and plenty of Anti-Seize was applied to the adjustment plates. Late this afternoon the Primary was rehung (Thank goodness for the Transmission adaptor for my Trolley Jack) I'll finish the painting while it already hung, it's easier. John

;D ;D I like flashy, shiney paint Nick. What can I say? LOL I get plenty of Ohhhhs & Ahhhhs at car shows that way. ;D Primary all finished (in flashy colors) and I've started to put the belts in place. John

I think the colours work on PP, looks very utilitarian and you get the benefit of spotting any leaks early. Needs to be kept nice and clean really but no major chore.
