Another good article there. (Link it up at V3M please) I like the caption under one of the photos: "We're going slower than it looks. Trust us." Well of course you are Jay, John's driving (the last couple of the pictures in slideshow don't work for me ) Early cars, and later poverty-spec cars have four on the floor. Plus there a quite a few more accessories / options

Between working a full time job and (House, Yard, Museum & Heating Fuel) preparations for the upcoming Winter season I am managing some DAFfing.... Current project is the fabrication of a DAF size car rotisserie unit for the "A" body cars. Phase # 1 (Fabrication of the body mounts) is now complete.... Front Receiver Assembly Rear Receiver Assembly Everything will be constructed in modules for easy storage when not in use. On to Phase # 2...... John

loving the idea but for gods sake man will you turn your welder UP She is on 5 right now Nick...any higher and it burns through the materials...LOL Need to purchase another tank of welding gas this week otherwise everything stops. I did manage to (almost) complete Phase # 2 today. That was the fabrication of the front support assembly... Now to devise a platform and some type of lifting mechanism to support the full length steel tube. John

The old brain cells are being burned out at a staggering rate on this project... I've finally come up with a solution to the lift/lower problem to the front support. A 1,000 lbs hand winch should do the trick. Just a touch (or two) to refine the assembly and then on to Phase # 3. John

Phase # 2 is just about 100%. I will be throwing those Pneumatic wheels to the scrap bin...they are shite! Because of the deluge of rain today nobody was working outdoors. So I retired to the garage to tackle a bit more on Phase # 3... The frame was angle cut & welded up using the scrap bits from the original engine hoist. By the end of the day it was mostly finished up. Rear support legs with brackets, casters, mounting the winch as well as a receiver tube are all that remain. So far I have been faithful as an "Great Uncle Bulgaria" and stuck to the WOMBLE Ways. ;D ;D ;D John21

Getting close to completion... Just missing a few vital bits in the WOMBLE box so I must venture over the river & through the woods to locate them. To date: Roughly 5 days and $ 100.00 into the project. John
