Are repair panels available? Yep:   Best you look at Nick's work on Gina: essexdafs.proboards.com/thread/141/gina-mot?page=11You can get odd 'n' sods, but you'll need to stick your hand in your bin. Replacement panels aren't cheap, unless you're very, very lucky. A lovely car.  |

A silly thing but I noticed the 66 has no wing mirrors, and doesn't look like it's ever had any?

It needs only one rear view mirror for the MOT I think, but take your point they are handy for overtaking etc.

Wing mirrors on a DAF are accesories and lots of them don't have any. To be honest all round visibility on these is fantastic, I didn't really miss having no mirrors on mine

Well cleared a space in the garage for the 66. Once I got it in there I couldn't resist seeing if it would start!
So filled up the rad, put some petrol in the container under the bonnet and turned the key. It fired up no problem :-)
Drove it forward a little and drove it back a little, seemed fine but the brakes are not working too well.
Overall, very happy.

Lovely! Great purchase. Looks like an excellent project. And yes, as everyone has been noting, remanufactured things are still popping up for all model DAFs thanks do some super dedication from members alike (thank you all), but coupes are a bit lacking at the moment. Work smart and safely! Good luck! Hope to see many pictures as work gets done! We all love pictures! haha!
