Slight hiccup here. I had left my landlord Eric to arrange his own accommodation for the nights of the show as he was to be staying with his niece. Unfortunately she has been called in to work on the Saturday and such won't be able to put him up that night. He still very much wants to come but I fully understand that he does not want to stay in a tent at 89 years old. Does anyone know if the place they are staying or any others that they would recommend have vacancies, I would very much appreciate it as it could save me having to go home early and getting a huge amount of earache!

Mart and I are staying at the Holland Arms Hotel in Gaewen just down the road. Might be worth trying them, they are fairly reasonable price-wise.

Im also going to have to disappoint. The Spitfire will not be coming but 3 of us still are. The reason for this is simple although the car is ready to be MOT'd the tester was not able to fit it in today.
I took a gamble at the beginning of the week that I might be able to get a DAF on the road in time for the show, meaning that I wouldn't have the majority of this week available to MOT the spit and unfortunately it backfired. I travelled to Bristol and spent two days trying to get Gladys through her test but there was a fair bit more to do than I had realised from afar. Major cudos to Howard though who was also there with me trying to get her done and for allowing parts to be robbed from his 44 in an attempt to get her driveable.

Well, we have 3t Dafs and a Volvo 760 safely on the Island No photos yet because we just popped over for a communal chinese and I forgot to take a camera (my phone's useless in low light) but the show itself looks like it's setting up to be huge this year!
