Struggle, schmuggle. ;D Anyway, Pete's got a weekend waft-o-matic for his weekends.... You haven't tried getting gearboxes, wings, clutch pressure plates or starter motors for FWD Triumphs lately, have you? I don't see the problem I have one of each of those in my garage ;D Two pressure plates in fact

You haven't tried getting gearboxes, wings, clutch pressure plates or starter motors for FWD Triumphs lately, have you? Nope, and I did pass on the opportunity of a freebie 1300 not that long ago. Well apart from hob-nobbing with the key hoarders (see above ;D) and getting into the inner circle. Gears, get them cut. Wings (some sheet and a big 'ammer), clutch pressure plates (modify something else), starters (again modify something else). Yes, a cheap abundance of bits dry up, but there nothing in the above list that is a show stopper. Anyway, back to the problem in hand. Peter, I hope you've not done a "Bob" and grumbled about a dead clutch when 18 months later you come back to tell me the propshaft was the culprit all along. Have you got on your own hands and knees and checked??

Good point Rich. No, I haven't yet. A nasty bought of sciatica and a car parked too far over in my garage prevents any such thing from taking place...for now.

Dear god, then nothing will get done. That would mean putting down his games console...
Thinking about the problem before it reached final conclusion, it was intermittent. Sometimes I would try to pull away from junctions and it was like she hadn't changed down. I was revving her hard to pull away and even then she was doing so begrudgingly. BUT, this wasn't all of the time; intermittent.
I would have thought a dodgy prop or clutch come to think of it would be doing this all of the time.
Thoughts?

Hmm, that is a possibility. Hadn't thought of that.
