Hi, everyone, if anyone starts to get bored during the forthcoming lock down how about having a chat on these proboards? I'm quite willing to rant on about anything[especially anything DAF], So I invite anyone to join in when boredom kicks in!!

Hi Tony..
A bit slow and delayed due to funds and transportation vehicles..but we are getting there..
Still lots to do but slowly taking shape..
Good progress on your van and will put your parts order together when I get a minute..
Matt.

Hello....I was recommended to Matt by starider. I live in France and have a 1973 66 marathon coupe. The cloths seats are poor but somebody nearby is selling a complete set of leather seats from his 1973 Daf 44 which he is breaking. Does anybody know if they are compatible? The fronts should not be a problem whether anchored or on runners but the back? Any knowledge welcomed please.

Hello Banda..
Welcome to the Essexdafs site..
The front seats will fit your 66 as that is a later 44.. The rear seats I believe will not fit your 66..but I can check this against my 55 coupes..
If the 44 is an estate/combi then the rear seats will be totally different..
Matt.

Hello Matt,
Thanks for the advice. The donor car is a 44 berline which translates to sedan/saloon.
I look forward to any further thoughts or advice you may be able to offer.

Hi Banda..
I will look in to it for you but please be patient with me as I'm moving barns..
Are you not tempted to buy the 44?..a shame it will be broken.
Matt.

Hi Matt,
I might be tempted but to be honest I have a couple of old Renaults as well already and as I am very handy at property renovation my mechanical bodywork skills are very limited so it could prove rather expensive. Good luck with the barn and I'd appreciate any further thoughts/news you have. The initial reports I have through Dutch and Belgian contacts here in Brittany is encouraging. It looks 99% certain that they would physically fit but I may well have to mod the anchor points.
