Mechanical work finshed. The bad areas of bodywork have had the large amount of filler removed and metal plates welded in and filled, now the boring and vast amount of rubbing down begins! Have decided to have a short break from Daffing to get some work around the property sorted,so the strimmer in coming out of storage and the grass verge along the road is the first task. The ATF fluid has arrived so in the next few days I'll replace the fluid in the primary and secondary units.

Hi Matt, I'm quite happy with the way the van is progressing. It won't be a showroom restoration but a nice solid very usable vehicle which hopefully give years of use. The aim is to use it for general carrier work collecting animal feed etc. and to advertise my wifes business. What we intend to do is to buy a couple of sheets of the magnetic material sign makers use and then Chris can sign write using her vinyl cutter.

Has anyone access to a 33 wiring diagram that is easy to read, all the ones I've seen are virtually impossible to work from. The diagrams in the genuine DAF workshop manuals are spot on.A copy of the various pages would be brilliant. In the van someone has used 2 types of fuse holder in place of the original and the wiring is hanging down under the glove box.The original was in one of the boxes of spares and I would like to put the wiring back to original, but not using the very poor repros. in the hand book and Autobooks. HELP!!

Tony,
I have an Autobook, in good condition, with the electrical diagram in the back. I'm happy to scan this into my computer, expand it & email it to you, or I'm happy to post it, should that be easier for you.

Just waiting for the wheels to come back from bead blasing and spraying, then the tyre company I've used for years will collect the wheels, fit and balance the wheels with new tyres.[They are able to balance wheels without a centre hole],then drop them off.I know there are cheaper tyres, but I always get a good deal and after all if you buy on line, you still have to have them fitted and balanced and as Andrew says there are very few tyre fitters who still have the equipment to balance DAF type wheels.
