With it being 8C and sunny today (This is NUTS for Vermont this time of year) I rolled "Pete" outside for some work. The Left front wing is now complete and temporarily mounted to prevent damage. I also took the opportunity to remove all the hood and sliding door seals as well as the interior rubber floor matting. I found this on the Driver's side... SIGH... another thing to repair. The postal drivers must have crashed the truck at speed to cause this inside damage. Oh well, another challange. John

At least it is an easy fix Matt and will not take too much effort to slap on two layers of fiberglass and a bit of filler. This is rather small (but still anoying) compared to what I have already fixed. John

Spring has Sprung...at least this weekend. It has been 70-75 degrees & sunny all weekend so it was time to pull SANDRA out for some work. After sitting all Winter she fired right up after three turns. Lots of DAFfing this weekend since I would love to take SANDRA on the Car Show Circuit this summer so it's time to prep her for some new paint. First thing first...I wanted to finish installing the Left Door lock (Thanks again Matt for the U clip and poly washer) and get the door card back on. Next job was to strip off everything I can so sanding can begin. I managed to get everything sanded down (except for the roof) and only found two spots in need of some magic. The lower portion of the Left door and the Right rear Quarter panel were the only bad spots. A quick fix !!! With any luck she will be ready for paint by Thursday (If I can arrange for my little Irish painter to make room). It became very obvious that SANDRA had been painted before...the wrong DAMN color! Not even close to Mimosa Yellow ! The light Yellow showing through is the Mimosa Yellow I want. Nothing had been taken off the first time either plus I had to scrape off TWO layers of vinyl stripes. Yesterday I received a phone from a very friendly and helpful gent from UroGlasIt was the last thing I expected at Lunch time (12:30 EST) so it must have been around 4:30 ish your time As I said he was very helpful. He did give a quote to replicate the front windscreen for Postal Pete....I am glad I was sitting down. 1,780.00 GBP Needless to say I said Thank You No. But he sent me some USA contacts so we will see where that leads. Ref. the KALMAR Windscreen: VERY pricey...No template available Joe...thought about rewarming the Glass Nick but it would not work according to my Glass Guy. Oh well, I will keep trying to find some solution. Sandra is scheduled for new Color the first week in April. She is one very naked 55 right now after I finished the prep work. and I managed to repair the glovebox lid as well... PLUS....a little update on "Postal Pete" from this weekend. The cracked Left Door Sill area is now 100% again and better than new. Finally made a start on the Left Inner wing repairs. It's not quite finished but more than 1/2 way there. John
