Ha Ha Ha...Luckily all the previous tennants (read: Illegal Immigrants) were apprehended just after the Van crossed the Canadian border and were sent back to Ottawa. ;D ;D It will be a simple matter to reproduce the Headliner. I will do it myself using sheets of PVC and Marine grade Vinyl. I've been doing some test fitting to make sure everything will go back together properly. The last thing I want at this stage are surprises. Both Seats work quite well. The dash module fits together nicely after a few new support tabs were fabricated. Since most of the work under the front was complete it was time to permanently install the wings, only because I got tired of tripping over them. Each side requires a metal support backing bar (which is almost a meter long) After all the drilling was completed, through all three layers (outer wing, inner wing & metal brace) the wing was mounted. It took 12 stainless screws and seven 3/16" pop-rivets to secure this wing section. More updates to follow..... John PS...If anyone can locate a POSTMAN PAT keychain for me, that would be fantastic.

On Thursday I experienced some serious "windshield time"... A planned trip to New Jersey for a quick visit with our old DCA Director turned into a 13 hour/470 mile ordeal. The trip would have been a lot shorter if I had not decided to make a detour to visit my old "hometown" in Newtown, Connecticut...but I "had to do it" ;D Of course needing to stop for lunch at one of my favorite American Diners in Newtown added at least an hour to my trip. The main object of the trip was to present Kaz Wysocki with a copy of my book, "DAF Club of America...first 25 years". Kaz absolutely loved the book and his two Grandsons were very pleased that Kaz received so much credit throughout the book. Kaz also sent me off with another load of precious DAF spares. This was the last big load of bits, although there are still a few needing to be sorted plus a load (some 45-50 cartons) of MicroCar magazines being donated to the Museum archives. Yesterday I was playing "Musical Flags" in the Museum after the arrival of two more collectible DAF Truck Dealer Banners. Each banner is over 2 meters long (one from 2007 and the other from 2010) showing the XF105 truck. Two very nice additions to the walls. ;D ;D John

Anyone know this fellow ?? Yeah, he's that Yakuza gangster fella masquerading as a Royal Mail postie. LOL...One never knows, does one? Of course could be one of the "Columbian Cartel" members since he was from Florida. I was able to secure another valuable prize for the Museum walls the other day... A prized 1964 DAF 32 Dealer Poster (drawn by Charles Burki). This massive 34 inch by 46 inch poster came from Mid Island Imports on Long Island (New York) who was a large DAF dealership at the time. A very lucky find indeed. John
