Do static Subarus get struck by passing deer often? Why Yes, Yes they do !! ;D ;D ;D Actually luckily she was only doing about 40 when the Deer jumped into the roadway and caught the Subaru head on. Both inner & outer wings, Bonnet, radiator with mounts and front bumper assembly had to be replaced. She did manage to get a freezer full of meat for her troubles. ;D ;D A little while ago.... Two coats of Volvo Silver have been sprayed with the Clear Coat going on later today. John

The animal is minding it's own business crossing the road and a Subaru hits it, not the other way round.

"two peoples...seperated by a common (?) language. ;D ;D The good news this weekend is that "MARILYN" will be coming home today. ;D After two coats of color as well as two coats of Clear Coat, a good buffing & application of glaze....SHE IS FINISHED at the body shop. Now, I have to remember how all the bits go back together on the inside. John

In daylight Marilyn looks "even more betterer". I picked her up Saturday morning from the bodyshop so she is back home once more. Just a few quick comparison photos: Before- After- Before- After- What an amazing transformation. ;D John

It certainly has been quiet (on both forums)....Must be that time of year for, what I call, the "DAF Doldrums" Does it seem to you that each year about this time everyone begins to suffer from "Cabin Fever" and "Hibernation Blues" ?? ?? The weather certainly effected me this year since I have been busy indoors with many neglected projects inside my home for the past month. In other words, very little DAFfing. John

PROGRESS...PROGRESS on Marilyn Today the final full skim coat was applied before a primer coat goes on tomorrow. I have to admit that work on Marilyn has been interrupted on a few occasions the past couple of weeks because "Bondo Billy" has had to work on other cars as well, he is only a one man shop. John Filling with cludge is no way to do a proper job! You should have put her to one side until you found a complete NOS shell rather than having it bodged like that!
