Now that MARILYN is back to her beautiful self again and the rear Clutch support bearing problem has been solved on POSTAL PETE (as well as a large chunk of home repairs finished off) I suppose it is time to get back to MUSHY V.
As stated earlier-all the body work has been finished and she is now all steel once more. I just need to get the motor back together since all the bits are here.
I viewed her new paint (which arrived at "Bondo Billy's shop on Friday) and it is a perfect Pea Green match, just as the original. With luck I should be able to post an update this weekend.

Marilyn: Here interior is now put back, Massive cleaning in progress and upcoming major Tune-Up to prep for Car Show Season. Postal Pete: Final assembly to the motor prior to installation. Mushy V: Further body sanding (trying to knock out those tiny imperfections) and starting to re-assemble the motor. All this as well as trying to finish up a few loose ends on my home repair list. I would get more finished IF sleep was not required. ;D ;D John

NON! (but I'm sure you will later ) From our phone conversation Rich, you know already. For the rest of you...Here it is in a nutshell ! In the middle of a full tune-up the Ducellier Distributor on "Marilyn" the decided to let loose, spewing all it's bits. Needless to say the motor was stopped after hearing the familiar gasping, hesitation and coughing. After looking inside my suspicions were confirmed !! Since then (because I am NOT going to rebuild another one), I have purchased a new 123Ignition Distributor from Danny and it will be shipped on Wednesday. Pay heed all owners of 1100, 1300 & 1400cc DAF/Volvo cars...this is the THIRD Ducellier dizzy which has gone bad on me. John

While I await the arrival of my new Distributor...I'll continue onward & upward. This is what remains of the "wonderful French technology" Cleaning & prepping continues on Marilyn because (hopefully) her first show is 5 May, one month away. Postal Pete was able to win some attention today as well... I spent time tightening all the flywheel bolts. The new motor is just about ready to slide back in. John
