Not this time Nick....
The dizzy on my Volvo 343 had been rebuilt twice...so that took priority. The donated dizzy went on my 55 Coupe. That dizzy had been rebuilt once (and I'll not do that again).
So far the dizzy on MUSHY V is doing fine and if needed I can always install one of the rebuilt units by just changing the vacuum advance module (or a new 123, if funds are available or if the German Post makes retribution for the one they lost).

EXCITEMENT...PLUSHow many of you have been to the DAF Museum in Holland and have seen this car? SUPER SUPER rare DAF Michelotti Shellette. For many years this was the only example known in the world! I damn near fell out of my chair last month when someone posted on the DCA forum that another DAF Shellette has been discovered in the States. The car was purchased in Italy in 1969 and exported to the USA by it's present owner. After it had sat for over 40 years his son decided it was time to restore the car (or at least make it road worthy again). The restoration shop owner contacted me because he could not find any information......Really ?? Ha Ha Ha According To information I received through Michelotti Studios, Schell Yachts and the DAF Museum no production figures are available. It is anyone's guess as to how many were made, there are no records (for now). You can follow the thread at the DCA forum of the upcoming resto work on this (1 of 2 in the world) DAF; dafclubamerica.proboards.com/thread/822/THIS IS EXCITING SHIT !!!!John

The DCA / DAF Museum-USA will be going to print...
On 10 August an Editor from AUTOWEEK Magazine will be travelling from Boston to begin writing, including photos, a four part feature on four of my cars.
I have waited so long for a national publication to feature and publish something about DAF.

;D ;D ;D ;D Monday afternoon MUSHY V (aka: Sweet Pea) is going for new paint. I've spent yesterday stripping off the final bits so she is ready. Decided that the RONAL wheels and new Vredestein tyres would be a very nice addition...what do you think ?? John

They spoil the car, but worry not, I have a set of standard steel wheels which I am happy to swap you. I'll probably just melt down those alloys of course...... Deal ? ;D ;D ;D

Very nice indeed John, although they'd look much better on my coupe of course!

Can't decide who is worse...John or Pete. Steel wheels I have plenty of thank you very much...locating 14 inch tyres is a serious problem for me on this side of the pond. ;D ;D John

gonna pobably be shot down in flames for saying this but I dont like the wheels on the car..... they would look ace on a coupe or maybe a cheeky saloon, but on the estate they seem just a bit not quite right, they are quite chunky compared to the GLS wheels and the star ones you got on buttercup, its obviously down to personal choice but for me they wouldnt get a look in on my Gina...

Steels are REAL Nick and skinny tyre ROOL! John has those alloys on because his secret guilty pleasure is that he'd really like a Renault (I don't know where the 14" tyre excuse comes from as all Ovlovs have 4.5J x 13" rims from memory ) Oh and Mr Oran-ghee wheels can't talk!
