Hi Paul, did you get the pm with the number for James. Matt says that he doesn't always answer his phone and that you might need to keep trying.
Hope it helps.

I was at IL earlier Ken and Martin spoke with James. He now knows he has to quote to transport from Ingatestone to Caridegion. I'll chase him up tomorrow.

Ive had 4 quotes now and all of them are going to make it worthwhile to transport rather than try and drive her, to be honest I expected it to cost 3 times what ive been quoted.
James and the company that moved her in the first place have both quoted £320 or their abouts. Ive had one quote for £300 and another for £275 of retrorides.
The cheapest quote is from a person based in Southend on sea and has good reccomendations. To be honest the cheaper the transport the better really as it leaves money left over for making her road legal which is all the more important after the Ibiza melted its fuse box this afternoon

They arer all pretty good quotes Paul and it is the more realistic but slightly less fun option. I think that once she is at the workshop you will make short shrift of sorting her out. Then you can properly drive her to the next meet. Good choice.

It's definitely more enjoyable to be able to do the work without quite so much of a deadline - a week to be on road may be possible but it would be incredibly stressful if anything unexpected came up.

VERY good decision Paul.
Much better to have Sophie at home than trying to fudge some quick repairs in Colchester. Transport prices are good...so go for it!

I have permission to have her moved up here from this coming Saturday on so whenever your ready on your end. This weekend would be quite nice Got to get a car on the road now as the daily dustbin caught fire on the way back from college yesterday! Something went wrong with either the aircon or engine cooling fan, unfortunatly the fuse did not blow untill it had melted all its insulation and set the fuse box on fire. Thankfully no other damage has been done but a new fuse box has set me back a fare whack. Im also going to call out an auto electrician to investigate the reason it went like that else it might do it again. I think it was probably caused by a loose fitting fuse but im not risking it.

We where all set for Sunday but sadly I have to delay. I got a phone call from the courier today saying that he'd been admitted into hospital but is happy to do so next weekend. Id be happy on the saturday but it seems unfair to ask him to do it Easter Sunday even though he has offered.

Fair dos Paul. Could you please let Andy know? He's a very affable chap and I'm sure he'd be able to help. Matt and I will be at IL next Saturday which is not far should we be needed. I'll also forewarn the landlady at Overflow when the car is being collected so that she knows it is legit, plus it is good courtesy.
