Don't know why, but I just think the car has been looked at and then everyone in the workshop has run off in a panic.
If I were to look at that list, a Sierra seems reasonable to me. Piece of cake to work on, piece of cake finding someone to work on it. Vehicle with least "appeal factor" to me would probably be the military Jeep, but then it's probably the same as the Sierra in terms of the work/worker factor.
Anyway, enough speculation. Doesn't really take the sting out of it.

Kev, I am as devastated as you are. I am sorry that your family has gone through so much and to finally have a glimmer of hope for some happiness dashed due a to a bunch of so called "car experts". To me this not to be excused!! John

Ok, going to jump the gun a little here because it's dependent on farmer George agreeing to one turning up on a trailer and to those lovely TV company guys playing along (it's the very least they can do) but: We have a weekender coming up this week where there will be lots of people with Daf fixing skills all gathered in one place. So far the planned work-load is a bit lacking if we're honest so, in order to keep us busy and preserve ED's tea reserves, it's been suggested that the TV lot might deliver Louloubell to Essex Dafs instead of her home in Brighton. In true Scrapheap Challenge style, we would then have one weekend to get her in a fit state for MOT. The known work is: * Replace all wheel cylinders, shoes and brake pipes (parts are already sourced) * Fit new tyres (will be with the car) * Refit engine and fuel tank * Replace fuel pipe (1/4" pipe needed if anyone has some going begging ) * General MOT checks like lights, balljoints etc So, who's up for getting down & dirty and who just wants to do their own thing? Bear in mind, I have admin rights here, so anyone who votes "own thing" is likely to have their post randomly changed just before having their account supsended and their username added to the swear filter ;D So you may as well all vote in favour in the first place

My thoughts already known.
I have some proper plastic pipe that will find itself in VUF for the using of over the weekender.
I will bring suitable valeting stuff to do the interior.
Bring it on!!!

Right, that's 4 metres of plastic fuel line in the boot. That was easy wasn't it.
Cheers Mr. mp ;o)

I always wanted to do a scraheap challenge, not that LLB is anything like scrapyard material (whoops).
I really wish I could do the full weekend. Sorry folks.
